Procrastination
By Alyson Boswell
I
seriously do not wish to fail,
But
due to this assignment, I just might.
I
can’t focus. My train of thought’s
derailed.
Unfortunately,
I’ll be up all night.
Perhaps
I’ll go outside and get some air.
This
homework really drives me up the wall.
I’m
thinking to myself, “Why should I care?”
“It’s
really not that hard.” And after all
Of
the all-nighters that I’ve pulled before,
One
would think by now, I would be a pro.
I
need caffeine. I’ll go to the C-store
Because
I just can’t sit still. And although
This
is procrastination at its best,
When
I am done at last, I won’t be stressed.
