2012 Reading Series
Celebrating Literature and Spoken Word in 2012
On Wednesday, Febraury 15, 2012, Obsidian will be hosting the NC Writers Cafe Reading. Our first event of the 2012 Reading Series will be in collaboration with NC State University's African American Cultural Center, at the Washington Sankofa Room (126), in the Witherspoon Student Center at 7pm.
Indulge in readings from Fiction Writers: Tracie Fellers, Makuchi (Dr. Juliana Nfah-Abbenyi) and Sheila Smith McKoy.
Be moved by spoken word from Poets: Anjail Rashida Ahmad, L. Teresa Church, celeste doaks, Lenard D. Moore, Crystal Simone Smith, and Darrell "SCIPOET" Stover.
Obsidian will also be featuring finalists from its first of three "Straight to the Mic" Spoken Word Competitions. Enter the competition by visiting our "Straight to the Mic" page.
