Occupation: Asst Director Professional Writing Program at NC State University English Department

As Assistant Director of the Professional Writing Program, I train the new TAs to prepare them for teaching ENG 331 or ENG 332. I am part of the Interdisciplinary Consortium for Advancing TA Training (iCATT) in the Graduate School and assist with New Graduate Student Orientation, Fundamentals in Teaching (FIT) workshops, and the Certificate of Accomplishment in Teaching (CoAT)program. As a senior lecturer in the Professional Writing Program, I teach undergraduate engineering and business students. I created and delivered the first online offering of ENG 331 in 2001 and have taught face to face, hybrid, and online classes. I was the faculty advisor for a very active chapter of SAS for 10 years. In 2010, we transitioned to become one of the first SIGDOC (Special Interest Group on Design of Communication) student chapters.
