To complete the program you must take five courses and pass each with a grade of "C" or better. 

It is advisable, but not necessary, to take the required courses before the elective courses:

These are regular undergraduate and graduate offerings of the English Department taught by regular faculty members.  No transfer credit or credit by exam may be applied toward the certificate program.

Completing the Certificate

When you have completed all five courses, send a copy of your transcript or grade report to:

We will send you a certificate suitable for framing and a letter attesting to your achievement in your coursework.
