How to Apply
Certificate in Professional Writing
Follow the steps listed below to begin the application process. Once accepted into the certificate program, students can begin taking classes any semester and time that is convenient for them.
Step One
Complete and submit the online application form. After submitting your application, the Professional Writing director will contact you.
Step Two
After applicants receive their program acceptance letter, they need to submit a Non-Degree Studies (NDS) application.
As a Non-Degree Studies student, please note these reminders:
- Your NDS application is valid for ONE year.
- You must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
- Enrollment for any term is based on available capacity, and students in degree-granting programs have priority.
Step Three
Once applicants are accepted as NDS students, they must pay any pre-registration and tuition fees for the semester that they are taking classes. Students can learn more about NDS registration and tuition fees here.
Step Four
Register for classes when the open enrollment period begins. You can search for course dates and times here.
