Internships
If you are looking to provide a film studies student with an internship opportunity, please contact the Film Studies Director, Dr. Marsha Gordon, with a description of the work involved, the nature of the projects, compensation, location, etc.
If you are a student at NCSU and have secured an internship on your own, using ePACK or any other resources, please email the Internship Coordinator (EnglishInternship@ncsu.edu) with the name of the organization and the contact information for your supervisor, and you will be added to the required class, English 350 as soon as your registration window opens, which will allow you to receive 3 credits towards your degree.
If you would like help securing an internship, you need to complete an application process. You can find all of the details on the How to Apply page at the internship program’s website. The materials you submit for the application helps us see what type of internship you want and what type of experience you already have.
English 350 and the successful completion of an internship can count as your Advised Elective in the Arts Studies Film Major (Film Concentration) or as an elective in the English-Film concentration.

Digital Communication Student Assistantship
- Novo Nordisk is seeking a student assistant
- This is a paid position, roughly 15 to 20 hours a week.
- Seeking students who are majoring or taking classes in media production, video/audio editing, or similar
- Position will start in spring semester but also accepting interest in summer internship (rising junior or senior)
- This position will assist the Digital Communications Team in the development of high-quality digital content including but not limited to: video, photography, graphic design, and podcasts
- Completing on-site projects depending on the needs of the different departments
- Support plans to maintain & improve communication across the company site
- Preparing and delivering a presentation to management on the details of your project at the conclusion of the co-op semester
