Nupoor Jalindre presented her poster “Methods to Visualize Search Queries to Improve Information Design” at the 2017 Symposium on Communicating Complex Information (SCCI) in Greenville, NC, on February 27.
Hannah Williams presented “Visions of Death: Reading Memorials to Brutality in Bierce and Crane” at the Nineteenth Century Studies Association 38th Annual Conference on Memory and Commemoration in Charleston, SC, on February 4.
Alyssa Wong’s stories “A Fist of Permutations in Lightning and Wildflowers” and “You’ll Surely Drown Here If You Stay” were both nominated for the 2016 Nebula Award (in the short fiction and novelette categories, respectively). She also presented a solo reading of “Ghost Confessional” at the 2017 The International Conference for the Fantastic in the Arts (ICFA 38) in Orlando, FL, on March 23.
Laura Zdanski presented “Applying Rhetorical Theory in Accessibility Assessment Strategy” at the 2017 Association of Teachers of Technical Writing (ATTW) in Portland, OR on March 15.
