Graduate Student Notes for November
Hannah Williams gave two presentations recently. On November 5, she presented “Naming and Manipulated Memory: Reading Novels by O’Brien, Binet, and Vonnegut as Literary War Memorials” at the Mid-Atlantic Popular & American Culture Association 27th Annual Conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey. On November 12, she discussed “Reform and Respectability: Illegitimacy in Bleak House and The Woman in White” at the Centre for Studies in Literature Annual Symposium on “Orphan Identities” at the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom.
Alyssa Wong’s short story “Natural Skin” was published in Lightspeed Magazine (http://www.lightspeedmagazine.com/fiction/natural-skin/).
