Jason Miller to make “I Have a Dream” speech available in November

As an extension of his published book and current documentary film project, Jason Miller announced that his King’s First Dream project is making the first ever recording of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech available online in November.  This speech took place in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, eight months before King’s famous speech at the March on Washington in 1963.  The site will include interviews, photographs, lesson plans, and a fully annotated hyperlink version of the transcript from this 55-minute address.

The project received extensive local news coverage as well as national and international press coverage. Canada and Japan covered the story, and one article from the Huntington Post was translated into Dutch and Italian. Miller was also interviewed on CNN.  Reports were aired on the ABC and CBS national news programs, and USA Today covered the event.  In addition to others, multiple shows on CSNBC (Rachel Maddow) and the BBC ran stories as well.
