Please DO NOT contact Scott Maddox about departmental computer problems. Scott is responsible for the equipment and software in the computer classrooms and the Humanities computing lab; only if you are working/teaching in the computer classrooms is Scott your contact.

Phone and Comtech Contacts

If you are having problems with your phone or voicemail, or if you have phone-related requests, please contact the help desk at help@ncsu.edu or 515-HELP. Voicemail questions can often be answered by looking at this web page.

Technology in the Classroom

Individuals teaching in Winston, Caldwell, or Tompkins likely have access to new technology which allows them to record their lectures so that students can later review the material. This technology can enable instructors to record full lectures, small portions of lectures, or student presentations, allowing students to re-watch and review the material. Additional information about this technology is available at https://it.chass.ncsu.edu/services/.

Putting Courses Online

The Wolfware Course Locker system offers one way to go about this, although some instructors choose other methods. The Wolfware information (how to get a locker, transfer content, etc.) can be found at https://wolfware.ncsu.edu/help/

Learning Technologies Services (located at DH Hill Library) offers online tutorials and workshops in many of the most popular tools for creating websites (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, etc.) and also offers ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance information for online courses.
