Sheila Smith McKoy gives presentation, publishes poem

On June 25, Sheila Smith McKoy presented “The Color Purple: Text and Context” for the Justice Theater Project as a part of the play’s performance.

She contributed her poem “Lament for Roderick Burr” to Lament for the Dead, an “online community poetry project which will mark the death of every person killed by police this summer, and every police officer who loses life in the line of duty, with a poem”  (http://www.lamentforthedead.org/poems/2015/8/10/roderick-burr-33-brookshire-tx).
