Merit scholarships play a critical part in attracting and retaining such students. This year, CHASS awarded more than 100 merit-based scholarships across all its disciplines. English Major Earns Fulbright Summer Institute Scholarship

English major Jessica Hatcher is spending her summer in Scotland. But she's not your typical tourist. Hatcher has received a Fulbright Summer Institute scholarship to study at the University of Dundee and the University of Strathclyde. The Fulbright is considered one of the most prestigious and selective summer scholarship programs operating world-wide.
