First-Year Writing Program
The Academic Success Center offers Writing Support and other academic support for students, both Undergraduate and Graduate. Students can schedule in-person or online appointments with trained peer consultants to receive help on papers, thesis, dissertations, etc.
NC State Libraries offer multiple services, helpful articles, writing guides
and project tools to assist with the writing and research process.

The Department of World Languages and Cultures offers international students alternate courses to fulfill their first-year writing requirement. Students can elect to take WLEN 101 (formerly FLE 101) instead of ENG 101 to fulfill their GEP Introduction to Writing requirement.
